150th Anniversary Happenings

History lovers better mark your calendars and make your reservations.  This spring the National Park Service is going all out to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Overland Campaign.  The Overland Campaign is the series of battles in which the Union Army, led by Ulysses S. Grant, first fought against the Robert E. Lee Confederate Army in Virginia.  Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Parks will offer the biggest package of programs, ceremonies and tours from May 3 through Memorial Day.  Visit www.nps.gov/frsp/sesquicentennial.htm or www.150spotsylvania.com for more information.
