The room rate is $185.00 nightly, plus tax. The Shannaberry is located on the second floor with a handsome, four-poster, queen bed and a deep, pillow-top mattress.  The beautifully decorated room complements the outdoor gardens with its sage-colored walls and botanical fabrics and art.  This inviting room is complete with antique furniture, two large windows with half-moon tops, a 32-inch HD TV and wall-to-wall carpeting.  In addition to the central air conditioning, a window air conditioner and ceiling fan will ensure your comfort.

The expansive bathroom enjoys a picture window with marble and ceramic tiles surrounding the large soaking tub.  Or you may choose the separate shower by the double sink for a steamy soak.  A refrigerator is available with bottled water and snacks on the second-floor landing outside the room.

Shannaberry is named for two close friends who are the innkeeper’s cousins and have been her guiding light to create Lavender Heights Bed and Breakfast.  They are also realtors and persisted in a two-year search until they found the home at 419 Forbes Street that would make an excellent B&B–they championed the purchase and change from home to bed and breakfast as the innkeeper wound through renovations, permits and decorating, setbacks and joy.  They served as sounding boards, close counsel and practical jokesters.  These two also shared the most fabulous love, the kind of love of which songs are written.  Combine this love with their extensive travels and you can imagine the passion and joy they give to Shannaberry!
